January – Holiday crowds taper off the weekend after New years. Avoid All Star Resorts from the 15th to the 31 of January due to large groups of students staying there to compete in Disney. Crowds slightly heavier the weekend of the 17th due to MLK.
February – Avoid All Star Resorts from the 1st to the 9th due to large groups of students staying there to compete in Disney. Crowds very heavy the 13th to the 18th surrounding Presidents Weekend.
March – Avoid All Star Resorts from the 1st to the 9th due to large groups of students staying there to compete in Disney. March sees some “Spring Break” crowds but the parks don’t feel over-crowded. The weekends are a bit busier due to the festivals and nice weather.
April – Spring Break crowds continue and peak with Easter. Avoid All Star Resorts the last weekend due to large groups of students staying there to compete in Disney.
May – The weekend surrounding May the 4th will be busier but mostly surrounding Hollywood Studios. Weekday see a dip in crowds and weekends are a bit busier due to festivals and nice weather. Mothers Day weekend sees a small spike and if traveling for Memorial Day, definitely invest in Multipass. Avoid All Star Resorts the 1st to the 11th due to large groups of students staying there to compete in Disney.
June – Early June sees lighter crowds and they increase as more and more schools get out for Summer.
July – Be very strategic if traveling for 4th of July. The rest of the month sees moderate crowds.
August – August sees lighter crowds, some of the lightest all year. It is a great month to travel especially as students return to school.
September – September sees low crowds and enjoyable weather. The weekends are a bit busier but still very manageable.
October – October starts to see the beginning of Holiday crowds. Disney is a great place to visit during Halloween and it shows when the crowds increase. The long weekend surrounding school fall break and Indigenous Peoples Day will see a spike in crowds. The closer it gets to Halloween, the more busy it will be – especially Magic Kingdom.
November – The first full week in November is dubbed “Jersey Week”, as the teachers and students get a few days off. There will be a spike in crowds so let’s plan accordingly. Crowds mid-month are not bad and increase as Thanksgiving gets closer.
December – Early December is one of my favorite times to visit, as crowds are lower and Disney is gorgeous for Christmas. As you get closer to the Holidays, the crowds increase so let’s be prepared with great touring plans!
**The dates that the large groups of students are in town for competitions, there are still some great ways to navigate the crowds. There are also plenty of places to stay where you will not be impacted by them. Just contact me for those details.
Happy Travel in 2025, fellow travelers!
