Skip the regular lines and return to select attractions & experiences at predetermined times. There are two types – Lightning Lane Single Pass & Lightning Lane Multi pass. You can purchase either or both to see as much as possible in each park and make more out of your day.
Lightning Lane Single Pass
Single Pass gets you a pass to one specific top attractions. There are 1-2 of these attractions per park. You can purchase up to 2 per day per person based on availability but only once per attraction. The current attractions for Lightning Lane are:
When & how to do I purchase it?
LL Single pass can be purchased 7 days in advance of your stay if you are a resort guest. If you are staying off property or just coming for the day, you can purchase 3 days in advance of each park day visit. Passes can be purchased through the My Disney Experience App. If you book your travel through me, I can manage this for you.
How much does the single pass cost?
The cost of single pass depends on the day. Weekends, holidays, and busier weekdays will be peak, while slower times and weekdays will be lower. I have seen it range from $12 – $25 plus tax.
Is the single pass worth it?
That would depend on what type of day you want to have in the park. If you plan to rope drop and be one of the first ones there, I say no, it isnt worth it, just head to these attractions first. If you plan on sleeping in and still want to see as much as possible or don’t want to wait over an hour, then yes, it is.
Which attractions is this used for?
- Magic Kingdom – Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, TRON Lightcycle Run
- EPCOT – Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind
- Hollywood Studios – Rise of the Resistance
- Animal Kingdom – Flight of Passage
Lightning Lane Multi pass
LL Multi Pass is the same as the single, however it is available for 3 initial rides that you choose in advance. Once you return and tap into the first attraction you selected, you can then make an additional selection. This is a great way to see majority of the park, especially at busier times.
When & how to do I purchase it?
Like the Single Pass, LL Multi pass can be purchased 7 days in advance of your stay if you are a resort guest. If you are staying off property or just coming for the day, you can purchase 3 days in advance of each park day visit. Passes can be purchased through the My Disney Experience App. If you book your travel through me, I can manage this for you.
How much does the multi pass cost?
The cost of multi pass will vary based on the park you are choosing and how busy it is. I have seen them range from $18 – $32.
Is the multi pass worth it?
I think that depends on the park you visiting on that day.
- Magic Kingdom – I will purchase if it is a busy time of year (Holidays, Weekends)
- EPCOT – I will purchase if I want to spend a lot of my day at the current festival but also want to see all of the attractions
- Hollywood Studios – I always purchase for this park. It has several main attractions that often have lines of 30 minutes or higher
- Animal Kingdom – I have never purchased for this park

Tap ‘N’ Grab!! – Additional multi passes throughout your day and how to maximize!
You have reserved 3 multi passes for the park you are visiting. As soon as each person in your group taps their bands/cards and redeems their first multi pass, bring up your My Disney Experience App. Start searching for the next attraction/meet ‘n’ greet/show you would like to get.
Tips:
- Always snag the earliest time for an attraction to maximize your day
- If you see an attraction with a really late return time and it was one you really wanted to do, grab it. Once the return times reach closing time, they are sold out for the day
- Unless there is an attraction with a late time that you want to snag, go for the attractions with the soonest return time first so you can get to that one and then get another.
Once you redeem the next multi pass, you can start the process all over again. If you are quick, you can stack up quite a few multi passes in a day. We have utilized as many as 14!
Choosing passes can be a bit confusing if you have never done it before and the My Disney Experience app can be tough to navigate if it’s your first or second time and you are rushing to get the passes you desperately want. I also help with writing up daily touring plans which can help you maximize your time in each park. If you would like assistance with this, let me help you with reserving your package and planning out your trip! See Ya Real Soon!
