Traveling for the Holidays
The Disneyland Resort is a wonderful destination any time of year but they do put on a bit of Holiday Magic if you are able to attend during the Winter Holiday Months. In addition to beautiful lights and amazing holiday decor, California Adventure has a fun holiday festival, amazing treats & sweets, holiday entertainment, ride overlays, and more. Here is what you can expect when you arrive at California Adventure during the holidays-
Buena Vista Street Holiday Tree Lighting
Holiday Ride Overlays – Mater’s Jingle Jamboree & Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl are waiting for you!
Disney Viva Navidad – A beautiful Holiday celebration featuring the Three Caballeros, music, dancing, decor, and more
Disney Festival of Holidays – Very Similar to Epcot’s Holiday Festival. You will be able to enjoy culture, traditions, food, music, and more all from different countries around the world.
If you are planning on heading to Disneyland, the Holidays would be a great time to do that because of all the extra magic and excitement!
Giving a Disney Destination as a Gift for the Holidays
If you are looking for a more low-key way to gift a Disney Destination this Christmas, maybe a gift certificate is the way to go. For a spouse, a significant other, an older child, perhaps glitter and glam and cardboard Cinderella Castles are not the way to go. In this instance, the agency I work for, Magical Vacations, does offer gift cards. You can book a trip with a deposit and purchase gift cards for the balance due to give to a loved one to show that they are going on a Disney trip. We always think it is fun to put them in stockings.

This Summer, Bo joins the rest of the Toy Story Characters and will be meeting with guests in the parks. Bo makes a dramatic return to the Toy Story Franchise in Toy Story 4 after being separated from the toys many years ago. I look so forward to seeing how this story plays out.
If you would be interested in meeting up with Bo or any of the Toy Story Toys, contact me today for information for Disneyland & Walt Disney World Resort Stays. There are still some great last minute Summer promotions!
In just a few days, one of the most anticipated expansions in Disneyland history will open – Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. With all of the excitement and popularity that surrounds Star Wars, this will be a very busy land for many years to come. Disney anticipates this excitement and has prepared for it accordingly with all new ways to queue guests and to make any waits as easy and seamless as possible. Here are a few tips provided by Disney. This will help you prepare and be in the know as you visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland:
Between May 31 and June 23, reservations are required to enter Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Guests attempting to enter the land between these two dates will require valid park admission as well as their reservation to enter. These reservations are no longer available at this time.
Any guest staying at a Disneyland hotel between May 31 and June 23rd will automatically be given a reservation to visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. If you want to visit in this first month and did not get one of the coveted reservations, book a stay in one of the hotels! Once you reserve a room, you will be notified of your Star Wars time to visit along with room confirmation.
There will be no standby lines between May 31 & June 23. If you do not have a reservation, you will not be able to enter the land.
After June 23, no reservations will be required. Instead a virtual queue will be implemented. With this, you will be given a return time and then can enjoy the rest of the land while you wait for your return time. This will be done utilizing the Disneyland App. Once you have entered the park, you can enter the virtual queue. You will receive a “Boarding Group” and the status of your boarding will be updated on the app as well as throughout the park.
The Disneyland Costume Policy will be in effect – guests 13 and under may dress in appropriate costumes of their favorite characters.
Download the Disneyland App! You should have this anyway while visiting but with the opening of this land, it is even more helpful
Download the Play Disney Parks app. There is lots of fun ways to interact with the land while in Batuu. There are interactive activities such as scanning cargo crates and & items to collect things as well as interact with droids and more!
Disney’s Ultimate Goal is to provide a wonderful guest experience. While in line, you will be able to purchase snacks, enjoy the Play Disney Parks App, utilize a new system to return to the line if you have to use the restroom, interact with cast, and more.
There are MANY other wonderful things coming to Disneyland this Summer. It is the perfect time to visit! You can visit Sleeping Beauty’s newly imagined Castle, ride on Jesse’s Critter Carousel, visit Pop-Up Disney! A Mickey Celebration, see the new “Mickey’s Philharmagic”, taste some amazing new treats at Black Tap, and see the return of World of Color. There has never been a better time to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth!

A Disney World Classic is coming to Disneyland this April!
This fun and playful 3D adventure is coming to Disneyland. It is a great journey for Donald as he is asked to set up the Orchestra for Maestro Mickey. While he does so, he finds Mickey’s Sorcerer hat. He puts it on, against Mickey’s orders and things get chaotic! Follow Donald on this great adventure through several Disney classics movies and see how Mickey saves the day.
This show is played at the Sunset Showcase Theater this April. Mickey’s PhilharMagic arrives with perfect timing, as “Get Your Ears On-A Mickey & Minnie Celebration” is in full swing. Join us during this special event celebrating 90 yEARS of magic. There is new night time entertainment as well as limited time offerings of food, beverages, and merchandise. It’s a great time to come see the Disneyland Resort!
Disney World & Disneyland will celebrate Spring’s arrival with the return of the Eggstravaganza!
From April 5-21, these fun eggs will be hidden through Epcot in Walt Disney World and Disneyland, California Adventure, and Downtown Disney District. Get your map and stickers and join in the hunt! These can be purchased at select merchandise locations for $6.99.
Search for eggs designed as some of your Disney Favorites and then place the corresponding sticker on the map to show where you found it. Show your completed map to Cast Members at select locations and receive a prize!
We found this so entertaining for our littles and it allowed us some extra adult time when walking “around the world”. It may buy the adults a little extra time to enjoy the Flower & Garden Festival.
