I am in the process of writing up my trip report including a lot of information on Star Wars. I loved everything about it – the theming, the shops, the restaurants, Smuggler’s Run, the food, and of course, the Merchandise! There were the neatest things in these stores. These are items that have not been sold before and were created just for Galaxy’s Edge. I was so excited to see and play with them and we brought home quite a few souvenirs. While I write my trip report, I wanted to share this video with you. This is from D-23 and they share a lot of what is up for purchase when you visit Galaxy’s Edge at Walt Disney World or Disneyland. Check it out!
My Trip report and a further, more in-depth look of Star Wars Land should be up this weekend but I thought this was fun in the meantime! Enjoy!

Since I shared what is new in Disney World this Halloween season, I wanted to also relay what would be new in Disneyland!
Disney California Adventure Park will present Oogie Boogie Bash! This will be a separate ticket event that offers special entertainment, food, characters, and trick or treating.
An awesome new version of World of Color will be shown. “Villainous!” will be hosted by Oogie Boogie himself and is sure to provide some screams. Other Halloween entertainment will include a Descendants Dance Party, Mickey Stage Show, Frightfully Fun Parade, Trick or Treating on immersive treat trails and a new interactive trail provided by Disney Villains.
Guests are encouraged to dress up in their favorite Halloween Costume. This Bash will start on September 17th and take place on 20 select nights. Get your tickets now, as they will sell out!

No, but really, it has officially been added to the Disneyland Guidemap! Here is your sneek peek!
This is said to be one of the most immersive lands to ever be added to a Disney Park. When it opens tomorrow, guests will have an experience of a lifetime and use all 5 senses to explore this 14 acre land.
The adventure that you will be able to have while in this land will be unforgettable and you will truly feel that you are in Batuu. In addition to the innovative attractions (Just Smuggler’s Run to start off, Rise of the Resistance to open later this year) guests will eat, drink, & interact as true explorers of the Galaxy.
I can’t wait for guest’s photos of this land and their experiences to start rolling in. Please share any photos and/or experiences and opinions you may have about the land. I will not get to Disneyland’s until November unfortunately but I will be at the opening week of Disney World’s and I am super excited to report back. Enjoy!
Disney Imagineers put their heart and soul into every square inch of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. In just a few days, one of the most anticipated expansions in Disneyland history will open – Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. With all of the excitement and popularity that surrounds Star Wars, this will be a very busy land for many years to come. Disney anticipates this excitement and has prepared for it accordingly with all new ways to queue guests and to make any waits as easy and seamless as possible. Here are a few tips provided by Disney. This will help you prepare and be in the know as you visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland:
Between May 31 and June 23, reservations are required to enter Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Guests attempting to enter the land between these two dates will require valid park admission as well as their reservation to enter. These reservations are no longer available at this time.
Any guest staying at a Disneyland hotel between May 31 and June 23rd will automatically be given a reservation to visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. If you want to visit in this first month and did not get one of the coveted reservations, book a stay in one of the hotels! Once you reserve a room, you will be notified of your Star Wars time to visit along with room confirmation.
There will be no standby lines between May 31 & June 23. If you do not have a reservation, you will not be able to enter the land.
After June 23, no reservations will be required. Instead a virtual queue will be implemented. With this, you will be given a return time and then can enjoy the rest of the land while you wait for your return time. This will be done utilizing the Disneyland App. Once you have entered the park, you can enter the virtual queue. You will receive a “Boarding Group” and the status of your boarding will be updated on the app as well as throughout the park.
The Disneyland Costume Policy will be in effect – guests 13 and under may dress in appropriate costumes of their favorite characters.
Download the Disneyland App! You should have this anyway while visiting but with the opening of this land, it is even more helpful
Download the Play Disney Parks app. There is lots of fun ways to interact with the land while in Batuu. There are interactive activities such as scanning cargo crates and & items to collect things as well as interact with droids and more!
Disney’s Ultimate Goal is to provide a wonderful guest experience. While in line, you will be able to purchase snacks, enjoy the Play Disney Parks App, utilize a new system to return to the line if you have to use the restroom, interact with cast, and more.
There are MANY other wonderful things coming to Disneyland this Summer. It is the perfect time to visit! You can visit Sleeping Beauty’s newly imagined Castle, ride on Jesse’s Critter Carousel, visit Pop-Up Disney! A Mickey Celebration, see the new “Mickey’s Philharmagic”, taste some amazing new treats at Black Tap, and see the return of World of Color. There has never been a better time to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth!

Disney has released a few bits of information about what you will be able to find in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. One of the first previews of merchandise was put out:
This first set of merchandise is for the Resistance Supply and First Order Cargo. There are badges, pins, key chains, bags, cups, and more. It all looks so official, I cannot wait to see it in person.
While the merchandise looks fantastic, I may be even more excited about the theming around the restaurants and food. Lucasfilm Ltd., Coca-Cola, and Disney all got together to make these fantastic beverages –
How incredibly fun!!??! I want one right now and my Son would flip over these. Being able to purchase and drink from these while in the land is just one of the many immersive ways Disney will have us feeling like we are right there at Batuu. They will be limited to Batuu so if you are looking for one, they will be available there starting this Summer at Disneyland and this August at Hollywood Studios.
With all of the big changes coming to Walt Disney World and Disneyland over the next few years, Disney felt the need to restrict a few things. These changes are for the safety and concern of their guests. These new policies & changes will go into effect May 1st.
They are restricting the size of stroller permitted into the parks. If you are traveling with a stroller, the new maximum dimensions are 31″ (79cm) wide and 52″ (132cm) long or smaller. This is a GOOD thing. The smaller stroller you have, the easier it is for you to navigate through crowds. If everyone complies, foot traffic will move much smoother.
Disney will no longer permit wagons. The wagon style strollers such as the ones made by “Keenz” will not be permitted either, even though you can “push” them like a stroller.
Every time I read that, I hear it in Mrs. Doubtfire’s voice. No? Just me? Ok, anyway, there will no longer be smoking sections inside Disney Parks. There will be a designated smoking area outside of the parks near the entrance instead. This will be in effect for all of Walt Disney World, Disney Water parks, Disney Springs, ESPN, Disneyland and Downtown Disney. For guests that are staying in a Resort Hotel or may venture to one for dining/entertainment, they will also each have a designated smoking area. This does include vaping as well.
Disney happily let’s us all bring in coolers with our own drinks and food. What they will no longer allow are coolers full of “loose ice” or dry ice. They encourage the use of ice packs and if you require loose ice for any reason, it is available at no charge at their quick service restaurants.
Let me know if you would like clarification on any of these or if you have any questions!
