Through the years, we have discovered some really amazing Magical Experiences. The littles have visited a few different shops throughout Disney World where they received the Magical Treatment and it directly enhanced their vacation. The castmembers at these locations are incredible at their jobs. They make the kids feel like all eyes are on them and they tell amazing stories! I highly recommend any and all of these Magical Extras! Please know that reservations are necessary to be a part of these experiences.
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique
The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is a magical shop that transforms children into Disney Princesses and Knights! Kids can visit one of 2 (soon to be 3) shops on Disney World Property. There is one in Disney Springs and there is one in Cinderella Castle. A new location is coming soon to the Grand Floridian.
Princes and princesses can choose from several different packages. Princess Packages start as small as Hair, nails, makeup, and a sash. The larger packages include all this plus a full princess costume with accessories, and there are several options in between. The knight packages start with hair, sword/shield, and confetti and the larger packages include a full costume.
Children will receive the full royal treatment. Everyone in the shop will have eyes on them as they are formally introduced and their Fairy Godmother who performs the transformation will tell many stories that will keep your whole party engaged and laughing. Photo shoots are available after the makeover in the studio across the way at Castle Couture or if you are at the Disney Springs location, photo shoot will be at the photo pass studio. Tip**I like to schedule a character meal with Princesses for dinner the same day that they go to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. I love the photos of them dressed up with other princesses.
Harmony Barber Shop
The Harmony Barber Shop is a great little spot right on Main Street in Magic Kingdom that SO many overlook. This classic barber shop is a great place to get a trim for adults or children.
All children and adult cuts are eligible to receive pixie dust or colored hair gel. My favorite that they offer is the First Haircut package. It includes a certificate, “My First Haircut” Mickey Ears, several stickers & a lock of baby’s hair with mickey confetti.
Art Program
Now being offered at various Disney Hotel Resorts are art classes offered by Disney Professional Artists. Guests ages 12 and older can create their own masterpiece. There is a junior class for kids at Port Orleans for 6 and up. Offerings include:
- Win, Paint, Show at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
- Wild About Painting, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
- Painting on de’ Bayou (adults), Painting by the Lagoon (kids),
Disney’s Port Orleans – French Quarter Resort. Children’s painting
class; designed for ages 6 and older; accompanying parent required. - Painting in the Vineyard, Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts
- Canvas and Wine Glass Painting on the Boards, Disney’s BoardWalk Inn

Fishing Excursions
Calling all fisherman, big and small!! Guests can take a guided fishing tour of Seven Seas Lagoon. Guests of all ages can choose between a pontoon boat or a bass fishing boat with up to 5 in a party. Excursions are catch and release and can be chartered for 2 or 4 hours

Reservations for Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and Harmony Babrbershop reservations can be made 180 days in advance and they book up fast! There is no minimum age for the Barbershop.
