Did you know that when you shop a small business, you are directly supporting someones dream? Think about the impact you can have on someones life and family. You are supporting someone’s dream to run a business that they are very passionate about. Something someone built from the ground up and put in countless hours to try to see it succeed.

In turn, you are supporting whatever causes they started their business for. A lot of Mom’s run businesses out of their homes for additional income to support their children’s dreams. It’s me. I’m that Mom. You are supporting a Dancer. You are supporting an up and coming baseball pitcher. You are supporting a young scientist who wants to attend every STEM event possible. You are truly supporting dreams.

When I ask guests why they haven’t used a travel specialist in the past, the first reason is because people think there is a cost associated with it. Did you know that it is free to use a travel specialist? We get paid by the company/destination you are traveling to. Our payment is built into the price of your trip already. That means even if you do not use a travel specialist, you are already paying for one! It is the exact same price as if you planned it yourself except you get all the added value of my knowledge, tips, and tricks. Plus I take on all the stress of calls & deadlines.

The other reason I am told is because people prefer to be able to handle all the details themselves. I know, I was one of those people before I first used a TS. The truth is, you can book through me and still make all the plans yourself. You have me watch for discounts, notify you of changes or closures, get through to vendors that you may have trouble with, assist in the event of a disaster (hurricane, blizzard, shut downs…etc) and provide you with tips and information that you may not have otherwise learned. You do not lose any control of your own vacation.

The holidays return to Universal Orlando this month! Beginning on November 22, you can experience the jolliest time of year while also enjoying one of your favorite theme parks. Join us to unwrap a season of thrills, fun, and excitement for the whole family. As part of your park admission, there are several experiences, characters, shows, and stories to take part in. Here are some of the highlights:

Christmas in the Wizarding World – Hogsmeade will be decked out with holiday magic. Grab a hot butterbeer and enjoy special holiday-themed performances by your favorite wizarding performers. As night falls on Hogsmeade, “The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle” will come to life. An amazing projection show on the castle highlighting favorite holiday moments from the Harry Potter films.

Grinchmas at Universal Islands of Adventure – Whoville has decked the halls! Enjoy whimsical holiday decor and interact with some of your favorite Whos. You can even have a chance to meet the mean, green one himself! The Grinch! Enjoy a wondrous stage show titled “Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular” based on the holiday favorite “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”.

Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s at Universal Studios Florida – Enjoy larger than life balloons, festive floats, and your favorite characters in their holiday best. Inspired by Despicable Me, Shrek, and Madagascar, your favorites come to life in a Parade featuring Macy’s. To cap off the parade, there will be a special appearance by Santa on a magical float with a grand Christmas tree.

Additional festivities – Enjoy holiday themed food, beverages, and merchandise from an all new holiday shop. There will be an all-new Nutcracker hunt that you can participate across Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, and City Walk.

What you need to know!

Five immersive worlds. One amazing theme park. Step through extraordinary portals transporting you to the excitement of Universal Epic Universe theme park, opening May 22, 2025 at Universal Orlando Resort. Tickets and packages are on sale now.

Reservations are also open for the Helios Grand Hotel. Guests of Universal Helios Grand Hotel will enjoy exceptional dining, a rooftop bar with 360° views, and relaxing amenities that will make your stay extraordinary. And only guests of Universal Helios Grand Hotel enjoy a dedicated entrance to Universal Epic Universe.

Tickets will be sold in phases. To start, you will not be able to purchase a single day ticket to Epic Universe. Initial tickets will need to be purchased as part of a ticket or room package. Eventually, other ticket options will be available such as Florida Resident tickets, Express passes, and other multi-day ticket options. Universal has hinted, but not confirmed, that these options will be available before the park actually opens.

Q: Why not wait until they are available to purchase?

A: Universal is monitoring the capacity of the parks and days will sell out. If you are interested in traveling within the first month or two of park open, I highly suggest booking now. Also, on the off chance they do not come out with options prior to park open, you will already be set.

Initially, park ticket packages will only allow 1 day at Epic Universe. If you purchase 3, 4, or 5 day tickets, only one of those days will be usable for Epic Universe. The other days would need to be used at one of the other 3 amazing theme parks.

Be flexible when it comes to trip planning. Undoubtedly, dates are going to sell out. You will want to have a back up set of dates and even a back up to that to make sure you are ready to book.

Christmas in July! – Giveaway Alert**

July is a great time to start looking into your holiday travel plans as well.  I can never decide which is my favorite kind of trip to help plan – One where the family is at a Disney Destination for the holidays and we plan all through the fall or when I help a guest plan a trip to gift to their loved ones on Christmas morning.   Both are exciting and so much fun. 

Last Christmas in July, I did the 12 days of Christmas with several different tips on how to “wrap” a trip to a Disney Destination and gift it on Christmas morning. I had a lot of fun with these with some of our guests and would love to assist you if it is something you would be interested in.

We are celebrating Women’s History and Women all month long. What better way to celebrate women than to support their small businesses.

When the pandemic hit, many people lost their jobs or had to abandon them to stay home with children that were unable to go to school. Now as we slowly start to rebuild, small businesses need our help and support more than ever. During this month that we devote to celebrate amazing women of our past, present, and future, do your part to support women owned and operated business.

I am a travel professional helping guests travel to all corners of the world with Disney through parks, Aulani, cruising, and Adventures by Disney. Disney is truly a passion of mine. I also help guests with their Universal Studios travel and have recently became trained and certified in several cruise lines (Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Virgin) and all-inclusive resorts (Sandals, Club Med). I do this because I love to travel myself and I really enjoy helping others turn their travel dreams into memories that will last a lifetime.

If you are unable or not ready to travel at this moment, you can still support your favorite travel agent! Here are a few ways:

That last one is probably the most important. A referral from a previous guest is one of the highest compliments an agent can receive. Also, we can work with anyone, anywhere. It does not have to be someone local.

National Plan For A Vacation Day!

The last Tuesday of January is National Plan for a Vacation Day. It comes at a perfect time – the holidays are over, the weather is miserable, and there are no school breaks to look forward to for a while.

Having a vacation planned gives families something to look forward to together. When we have a Disney trip planned, we do family movie nights each weekend. One night, we make diner together and watch a different Disney Movie. If I am feeling really crafty, I will plan the dinner around the movie – Spaghetti & meatballs with Lady & The Tramp, Hawaiian Chicken with Moana, Pizza with Toy Story, Beef & Broccoli with Mulan…etc. Even as my littles are not so little anymore, this is something we all look forward to through the week and gets us talking about or exciting trip ahead.

Planning ahead also has a lot of benefits – you can spread out payments over several months and have longer to save for all the fun treats & souvenirs. You can take advantage of promotions as they come along as long as there is availability. You also have a better chance of getting the resort/ship & room category you prefer before they sell out. Let’s not forget the 180-day advanced dining reservations that are so coveted. Planning ahead gives you all of these advantages and more!

Which Disney Destination will you visit in 2020? Maybe it is time to try something new?! If you cruise often but haven’t checked out a Disney Cruise, it is time you see why they win all the awards that they do year after year. If you visit Disney World each year, step out of the box! Visit the west coast and see Disneyland or try a Disney Cruise. Looking to travel abroad to where your ancestors are from? We’re Going Live!

In 2020, I am going to be doing monthly updates via Facebook Live. I am aiming for the second Sunday of every month but that may change in the case of a holiday (or a research-based Disney Trip). I would love for you to join me.

Happy Fall, Y’all!!

Gone are the days of swimming pools & BBQ’s.  Bring on all the pumpkin, trick or treating, crisp air & bonfires.  As 2019 winds down, I have set a business challenge for myself for October and I need your help! My goal is 13 new reservations in October (spooky month, spooky number!). 

This is where you come in!  Any Disney or Universal package booked in the Month of October will receive an entry into a drawing for a $50 gift card for Disney or Universal! Travel can be anytime between now and the end of 2020.   Disney Packages require 3 night stay and 3 day park tickets.  Universal Packages require 2 night stay and 2 day park-to-park tickets.  Any Disney Cruise, Adventure by Disney, and Aulani: A Disney Resort & Spa Package count.  If this package is booked for a check in date in 2019, you will receive 2 entries! Perfect time to book a holiday reservation and see Disney decorated for Christmas or book a Very Merrytime Cruise!

These hints and tips will give you a great idea of all the knowledge I share with my guests when I am assisting with their vacation planning.

Already reserved or not planning on traveling in the contest time frame? You can still help me AND win a contest of your own! If you have traveled with me before you know that I get all my clients through referrals from satisfied guests.  You know that I put everything I have into each guest’s reservation and that my level of service is unprecedented.  These referrals are how I can continue to help more families and do what I absolutely love to do.  Anyone who refers a guest during the month of October will receive an entry into a drawing for a Starbucks Gift Card (or Amazon for those of you who don’t need coffee to survive). There is NO limit to how many entries you can get – if you refer 3 guests, you will receive 3 entries.
