Day 5 of the 12 days of the Disney Treasure – Bars & Lounges

Disney cruises are often synonymous with family fun, but when it comes to the Disney Treasure, adults are in for a treat of their own. The bars and lounges aboard this magical ship aren’t just places to grab a drink—they are immersive experiences that transport you to different worlds, each with its own charm, character, and hidden surprises. Whether you’re sipping on a cocktail or enjoying a quiet moment in a cozy nook, these spots are designed to ignite your imagination and elevate your vacation. Let me take you through my favorite hangouts aboard the Disney Treasure, where creativity and craftsmanship collide.

The Periscope Pub – I’ll never forget the first time I walked into The Periscope Pub. The walls, adorned with colorful nautical artifacts, immediately set the stage for an adventure. I was so excited when I recognized some familiar items. This seems like a pub that the captains from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea would frequent. It was almost like a scavenger hunt! See if you can find the giant squid! As I sipped my drink, I got completely lost in the ceiling of the pub. It is a “window” into the sea above you. I saw sharks, fish, and even a ship.

They do serve some really great pub food here as well. It is the perfect stop later at night when your belly remembers it is on cruise time and might need to nosh again!

Skipper Society – Skipper Society felt like stepping onto the Jungle Cruise (without the piranhas & monkeys). This lively, yet refined, lounge immerses you in an exotic, jungle-inspired atmosphere, complete with lush greenery, whimsical details, and a dash of playful mischief. As you settle in with a cocktail in hand, you’re transported to a world where storytelling and adventure reign supreme. The drink menu is just as enchanting, featuring vibrant concoctions that capture the essence of the jungle—bold, refreshing, and bursting with flavor.

Haunted Mansion Parlor – The Haunted Mansion Parlor was the most immersive and you truly feel like you are in the Mansion. Check out my full review here.

Scat Cat Lounge – “The moment I walked into Scat Cat Lounge, I was instantly swept into the rhythm of the music. The jazz band played classic tunes, and I couldn’t resist tapping my feet along to the beat. The energy was infectious, and the ‘Turkish Tea experience’ cocktail added just the right touch of New Orleans charm to the experience.”

The Rose – The Rose was an experience in itself. The plush velvet chairs, the soft lighting, and the refined atmosphere made me feel like I was in a hidden gem. I savored every sip of my cocktail which was as delicate and exquisite as the surroundings. It was the perfect spot for a sophisticated evening of relaxation.

Jade Cricket Cafe – After a busy day of exploring, I found myself drawn to the peaceful charm of the Jade Cricket Café. The delicate flavors of the tea cocktails were the perfect complement to the calm, serene atmosphere. It was a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of the ship. For you Mulan fans, Crickee makes a special appearance!

Heihei Café – Heihei Café was the spot I kept coming back to for its fun, carefree vibe. With a Moana-inspired drink in hand, I could feel the island breeze (even though I was indoors!). The cocktails were fruity and refreshing—perfect for a midday pick-me-up as I basked in the tropical atmosphere.

The Disney Treasure is a paradise for adults seeking imaginative experiences, and the bars and lounges aboard this stunning ship embody that magic. From the whimsical charm of Skipper Society to the elegant serenity of The Rose, there’s a spot to suit every mood, every occasion, and every drink preference. Each venue brings something unique to the table—and trust me, I loved every moment spent in each one. So, if you’re planning your next Disney cruise, make sure to leave time to explore these exceptional spaces. After all, where else can you toast to adventure, sophistication, and pure magic—all in one sip?

Now, let’s plan your next “Treasure” of a vacation. It is the perfect time with all the Disney Cruise Line offers and my additional offers. Visit my new on-board credit offer and giveaway page for more information.

Day 4 of the 12 Days of the Disney Treasure – Haunted Mansion Parlor

The Haunted Mansion Parlor is an incredibly immersive bar on the Disney Treasure. You will feel as if you are right there with Master Gracey. As you enter, you will notice familiar signage such as Tomb Sweet Tomb and some other fun hidden surprises. Does that door look familiar?!

Once inside, this place really comes to life….or…death? According to Treasure Lore, a captain has entered this ghostly realm after an unfortunate dinner with his fiance. What iconic relics can you spot? My favorite was the “Donald Chair”!

During certain parts of the evening, well-known friends will make an appearance such as Leota, the Hitchhiking Ghosts, the changing portraits, and more!

And the drinks! Not sure who in the “other” realm is creating these concoctions, but they are pretty special. Take your time with the menu and really explore it. For adventurous guests there is a little game involved which can unlock an extra special beverage for 2!

They have incredibly fun alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and there is truly something for everyone. The Hatbox Ghost sipper/soda is really special. Hint: Save your soda bottle but be sure to put it away once in your stateroom. The oh-so-incredibly room attendants will see an empty bottle and want to clean it up for you. That goes for anything you want to save that may resemble “trash”.

You will want to have your camera out and ready at all times in this Parlor because you really never know what will happen around you.

The Parlor opens at 4 on most days. To get a spot in one of the more preferred seats or to see the parlor with less people, I suggest you get there around 3:50 one day.

Day 3 of the 12 Days of the Disney Treasure – Kid’s Clubs

The emotional magic of Disney Treasure’s Kid’s Clubs. Let’s talk about that moment. The magical moment when you step into their favorite movies and their dreams. It all starts by jumping into the incredibly fun twisty tube slide – because why wouldn’t you take a slide into your kid’s club?! They make sure hands are properly sanitized and check each child in. It’s a very secure system! From there, the possibilities are endless!

When I first walked in, the “Tank Gang” from Nemo was initiating all the new members into tank hood. They were dressed as fish and had the kids “swimming through the ring of fire.” It was so sweet. These kids are not worried about where Mom and Dad are, they are living it up in an independent, safe, incredibly fun space. They are in adventure mode and you are free to enjoy some guilt-free time enjoying the more adult areas of the ship.

It’s A Small World Nursery – (6 months – 3 years) This is a space for the smallest Mouseketeers and it does require reservations to attend.

This whimsical space is perfectly themed and decorated to entertain your little ones. There is a peaceful and quiet nap space if someone needs to rest their head while they are there. There is also a great little playroom. Additional rates do apply to this club and the cast members are highly trained to work with this age group. You make reservations through the app and if you need to cancel, do so more than 4 hours in advance to avoid cancellation fees.

Oceaneer Club – (3-10 years) Kids can train to be a superhero at the Marvel Super Hero Academy. There, they can also meet friends like Black Panther, Captain America, and more.

In Fairytale Hall, kiddos can spend time with Belle in her Library, create artwork in Rapunzel’s Art Studio, and take part in fun winter activities in Ana & Elsa’s Summerhaus.

In Minnie & Mickey’s Captain’s Deck, kiddos can jump, climb, and crawl through all sorts of fun climbing structures. It is a great place to get their wiggles out!

In the Imagineering Lab, kids can sketch, draw, paint, and create magic in this special art studio. Maybe you have a future imagineer on your hands! It seems that the favorite activity in this area is the virtual roller coaster. Kiddos can create and ride their own creation. It is pretty incredible!

Star Wars Cargo Bay – Mouseketeers will feel like they just stepped off the Millenium Falcon. There are so many fun areas to explore. The best part is all the different creatures in the cargo bay. The Porg is my favorite! Be sure to turn the water wheel over by the big tank for a surprise!

Edge – (11-14 years) The Edge is a great spot for the tweens and young tweens get to kick back and enjoy some “them” time. It has a perfect little hideaway spot in the back of deck 5. Once in, kids have an opportunity to post their name and some fun facts on a board along with their counselors. They play ice breakers so even the shyest kiddos get to know one another.

There is a soda bar, arts and crafts tables, game tables, video game consoles/TV’s and a great space for them to do all the counselor-led activities.

Vibe – (14-17 years) The Vibe is up on deck next to the Hero Zone. There are comfy areas to relax and hang out. Big screens and video games are there to enjoy all day. There is a bar that serves soda, smoothies, milkshakes, coffee and more. There are also table games and board games. Foosball at sea!

The Hideaway – (18 – 20 years) This spot, new to the Wish and Treasure, gives those young adults a great space to hang in when they are not quite old enough for the adult lounges but too cool for kids clubs. It has a dance floor and DJ booth and they have some great parties! Most of all, it is a space for that age group to find others and make new friendships.

These clubs are a paradise for the younger sailors. When you are ready to plan your families vacation and make memories that you will talk about for a lifetime, let me know. See ya real soon!

Day 2 of the 12 Days of the Disney Treasure – Dining

Disney Cruise Line has some of the most delicious and beautifully prepared foods on the high seas. Not only does it taste great but the dining venues on each ship are incredibly themed. The ships all have 3 main dining rooms that you will rotate through for your dinners onboard. The Disney Treasure has 1923, Marvel(same as the wish), and their dinner theater – Cocoa.

1923 is decorated to how off the legacy of the Walt Disney Company. There are animation cells, props, and all types of decor from the last 99 years of film. It has two identical dining rooms, Walt and Roy Disney. The cuisine is inspired by Californian cuisine, as the studio was founded in southern California.

The Marvel Restaurant will have 2 different shows since you will dine here twice. Both are pretty amazing. This is an interactive dining experience and you get to take a roll in saving Ant-Man using Pym technology. The second show on the Treasure has you helping Groot show Rocket how much he is loved. The menu is inspired by the many destinations that our Marvel heroes visit throughout the galaxy.

The third rotation of dining is Plaza de Coco. This restaurant feels so authentic and they treat you like la famiglia. There are two seatings here and you will join Coco and his family in his hometown and celebrate with them. The singers, dancers, and Coco characters share their heritage and traditions with you as you dine on authentic flavors from Mexico. It was delicious and I highly recommend the empanada!

If you are looking for something more upscale, adults-only option, Palo and Enchante are for you! Palo is a cross between Italian food and steakhouse for dinner but brunch is my absolute favorite! Did you know that when you have sailed on your 10th Disney Cruise, you receive a complimentary Palo brunch!

Enchante is Beauty and the Beast themed and serves French inspired cuisine. It is stunning and a very incredible experience. Both of these restaurants highly suggest reservations and they do sell out. They are fees associated with dining at either of these sots but it is well worth it!

Then there is the Marceline Market which is a wonderful buffet that has something for everyone. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner and you can find everything from chicken tenders to crab legs. What I loved about this buffet compared to other cruise lines is that the food is broken up by cuisine at individual counters. This allows guests to pop in and out of the lines they want instead of just one long line. And of course, you can’t beat the view!

If you are looking for a mid day or late night bite to eat but don’t want to leave the pool area, Mickey & Friends Festival of Foods is where you want to be! Each of Mickeys friends has a different cuisine at their station. It is a great place to stop while enjoying the pools since it is on the pool deck. It is comfortable and informal and many guests grab a plate and head back to their sun lounger. The stations are Mickey’s Smokestack Barbecue, Sweet Minnie’s Ice Cream, Goofy’s Grill, Donald’s Cantina, and Daisy’s Pizza Pies. My favorite is Donald’s Cantina. I love getting their taco bowls. The ingredients are super fresh and they have a great little salsa bar. Daisy’s pizza really hits the spot later in the evening after the fireworks or a deck party.

There are other lounges and stores that offer some fun treats but they are an added expense. At Jumbeaux’s Sweets you can find gelato, cookies, cakes and more. I tried the gelato, macaroons, and a “pawcicle” and they were all delish!

The Periscope Pub and Skipper’s Society offer yummy bites as well. The pub has traditional English fare. I heard the fish and chips are excellent. Skippers offers lots of fun themed little snacks.

The dining onboard the Disney Treasure is wonderfully themed and delicious. There is something for everyone at any time of day. Do not forget about room service – Hint: as for a Mickey Head!

If you are ready to learn more about the Treasure or would be interested in pricing, please reach out. The best pricing is always available when dates are released and as you get closer to the sailing, the price raises based on capacity. I am currently holding a giveaway for an Inaugural Sailing pair of Disney Treasure ears. You are entered when you reserve through me. Also, let’s talk about our onboard gifting program as well. See ya real soon!

12 Days of the Disney Treasure

Day 1 – Staterooms

Disney cruise ships have 4 room categories and within those there are several different types. You start by choosing the room category:

Inside Stateroom – These rooms sleep 3 to 4 guests and have 1 bathroom. There is no view of the ocean, as these are located on the interior of the ship.

Oceanview stateroom – These sleep 3 to 4 guests and have a split bathroom meaning one bathroom that has sink and shower, another bathroom has the shower and a sink. They have a porthole (some big enough to relax in) to view the ocean.

Oceanview with Verandah – These sleep 3 to 5 guests, they feature the split bathroom, and they offer a private verandah for you to sit out on and enjoy.

Concierge – These suites are the most roomy accommodations onboard. They sleep 5 to 7 guests and feature the split bathroom. Some types offer a separate bathroom and multiple bedrooms. All Concierge-level staterooms gain you access to the concierge lounge where food and beverages are offered as well as a concierge attendant to assist you with any needs you have.

Within these 4 categories are a variation of types of the room. These can be details such as how many guests you need to sleep, how many bedrooms the room has, and how much space the room has. It can get confusing but I am happy to help with that.

The Disney Treasure features several different themed rooms depending on what floor you are staying on. Here is a guide so you can get an idea of where you would like to stay –

Aladdin Theme – Decks 2, 6, 7, 10 & 13 (Rajah Suite)

Pocahontas Theme – 2, 6, & 7

Encanto Theme – 8 & 9

Up Theme – 8 & 9

Finding Nemo – 10 & 11

Luca – 10 & 11

The Lion King – 12 & 13

Jungle Book – 10 (Bagheera Suite)

Tomorrow Tower Suite is located on floor 13. It is a 2-story 4 bedroom, 5 1/2 bath suite with kitchen, dining room, living room, views of the ocean and decks below, and incredible theming and furnishings.

If you have questions about stateroom details or suggestions, please reach out and I will be happy to assist you with planning your next dream vacation. Planning is complimentary. Each reservation made between today, 12/16/24, and the end of January 2025 will be entered to win a pair of Disney Treasure Inaugural Sailing Loungefly Ears.

The Disney Treasure

I was incredibly blessed with the opportunity to set sail on a pre-inaugural sailing on the Disney treasure. This sailing was hosted by Disney for specially chosen media and Travel agencies and I couldn’t believe that I got to be a part of it. The ship is easily one of my favorites, and I fell in love with all the magic and incredible theming throughout.

From the moment I stepped into the stunning atrium, I was in awe of my surroundings.  Every fixture and furnishing was specifically picked to reflect the incredible decor that will send you on a treasure hunt to remember. This is the first Disney Ship that has a more adventurous feel. Of course, there are princesses abound, but what I loved most was that they focused heavily on adventure. Stories such as Aladdin, Up, Encanto, Peter Pan, Moana, 20,000 leagues under the Sea, Marvel, Lion King, Cocoa, Haunted Mansion, and the Jungle Cruise were the main focus of the magic on this ship. As agents, we are so excited for our clients with little adventure seekers.

Over the next 12 days, I will be sharing a series with you that I’m calling “12 Days of Treasure”. It will focus on the Treasure and its many offerings.

If you have any questions about the Disney Treasure or Disney Cruise Line, please contact me.  If you are ready to turn your Disney Dreams into memories that will be talked about for years, now is a great time! Disney Cruise line is currently running a promotion for half off of the deposit. Also, I have an inaugural sailing Disney Treasure pair of ears to give away. When you reserve with me, you are entered to win! I am implementing a new onboard credit gift-plan as well so stay tuned for that! As always, planning with me is complementary and you get my knowledge, experience, and expertise along with my time. See ya real soon!
