Day 4 of the 12 Days of the Disney Treasure – Haunted Mansion Parlor

The Haunted Mansion Parlor is an incredibly immersive bar on the Disney Treasure. You will feel as if you are right there with Master Gracey. As you enter, you will notice familiar signage such as Tomb Sweet Tomb and some other fun hidden surprises. Does that door look familiar?!

Once inside, this place really comes to life….or…death? According to Treasure Lore, a captain has entered this ghostly realm after an unfortunate dinner with his fiance. What iconic relics can you spot? My favorite was the “Donald Chair”!

During certain parts of the evening, well-known friends will make an appearance such as Leota, the Hitchhiking Ghosts, the changing portraits, and more!

And the drinks! Not sure who in the “other” realm is creating these concoctions, but they are pretty special. Take your time with the menu and really explore it. For adventurous guests there is a little game involved which can unlock an extra special beverage for 2!

They have incredibly fun alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and there is truly something for everyone. The Hatbox Ghost sipper/soda is really special. Hint: Save your soda bottle but be sure to put it away once in your stateroom. The oh-so-incredibly room attendants will see an empty bottle and want to clean it up for you. That goes for anything you want to save that may resemble “trash”.

You will want to have your camera out and ready at all times in this Parlor because you really never know what will happen around you.

The Parlor opens at 4 on most days. To get a spot in one of the more preferred seats or to see the parlor with less people, I suggest you get there around 3:50 one day.

Day 2 of the 12 Days of the Disney Treasure – Dining

Disney Cruise Line has some of the most delicious and beautifully prepared foods on the high seas. Not only does it taste great but the dining venues on each ship are incredibly themed. The ships all have 3 main dining rooms that you will rotate through for your dinners onboard. The Disney Treasure has 1923, Marvel(same as the wish), and their dinner theater – Cocoa.

1923 is decorated to how off the legacy of the Walt Disney Company. There are animation cells, props, and all types of decor from the last 99 years of film. It has two identical dining rooms, Walt and Roy Disney. The cuisine is inspired by Californian cuisine, as the studio was founded in southern California.

The Marvel Restaurant will have 2 different shows since you will dine here twice. Both are pretty amazing. This is an interactive dining experience and you get to take a roll in saving Ant-Man using Pym technology. The second show on the Treasure has you helping Groot show Rocket how much he is loved. The menu is inspired by the many destinations that our Marvel heroes visit throughout the galaxy.

The third rotation of dining is Plaza de Coco. This restaurant feels so authentic and they treat you like la famiglia. There are two seatings here and you will join Coco and his family in his hometown and celebrate with them. The singers, dancers, and Coco characters share their heritage and traditions with you as you dine on authentic flavors from Mexico. It was delicious and I highly recommend the empanada!

If you are looking for something more upscale, adults-only option, Palo and Enchante are for you! Palo is a cross between Italian food and steakhouse for dinner but brunch is my absolute favorite! Did you know that when you have sailed on your 10th Disney Cruise, you receive a complimentary Palo brunch!

Enchante is Beauty and the Beast themed and serves French inspired cuisine. It is stunning and a very incredible experience. Both of these restaurants highly suggest reservations and they do sell out. They are fees associated with dining at either of these sots but it is well worth it!

Then there is the Marceline Market which is a wonderful buffet that has something for everyone. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner and you can find everything from chicken tenders to crab legs. What I loved about this buffet compared to other cruise lines is that the food is broken up by cuisine at individual counters. This allows guests to pop in and out of the lines they want instead of just one long line. And of course, you can’t beat the view!

If you are looking for a mid day or late night bite to eat but don’t want to leave the pool area, Mickey & Friends Festival of Foods is where you want to be! Each of Mickeys friends has a different cuisine at their station. It is a great place to stop while enjoying the pools since it is on the pool deck. It is comfortable and informal and many guests grab a plate and head back to their sun lounger. The stations are Mickey’s Smokestack Barbecue, Sweet Minnie’s Ice Cream, Goofy’s Grill, Donald’s Cantina, and Daisy’s Pizza Pies. My favorite is Donald’s Cantina. I love getting their taco bowls. The ingredients are super fresh and they have a great little salsa bar. Daisy’s pizza really hits the spot later in the evening after the fireworks or a deck party.

There are other lounges and stores that offer some fun treats but they are an added expense. At Jumbeaux’s Sweets you can find gelato, cookies, cakes and more. I tried the gelato, macaroons, and a “pawcicle” and they were all delish!

The Periscope Pub and Skipper’s Society offer yummy bites as well. The pub has traditional English fare. I heard the fish and chips are excellent. Skippers offers lots of fun themed little snacks.

The dining onboard the Disney Treasure is wonderfully themed and delicious. There is something for everyone at any time of day. Do not forget about room service – Hint: as for a Mickey Head!

12 Days of the Disney Treasure

Day 1 – Staterooms

Disney cruise ships have 4 room categories and within those there are several different types. You start by choosing the room category:

Inside Stateroom – These rooms sleep 3 to 4 guests and have 1 bathroom. There is no view of the ocean, as these are located on the interior of the ship.

Oceanview stateroom – These sleep 3 to 4 guests and have a split bathroom meaning one bathroom that has sink and shower, another bathroom has the shower and a sink. They have a porthole (some big enough to relax in) to view the ocean.

Oceanview with Verandah – These sleep 3 to 5 guests, they feature the split bathroom, and they offer a private verandah for you to sit out on and enjoy.

Concierge – These suites are the most roomy accommodations onboard. They sleep 5 to 7 guests and feature the split bathroom. Some types offer a separate bathroom and multiple bedrooms. All Concierge-level staterooms gain you access to the concierge lounge where food and beverages are offered as well as a concierge attendant to assist you with any needs you have.

Within these 4 categories are a variation of types of the room. These can be details such as how many guests you need to sleep, how many bedrooms the room has, and how much space the room has. It can get confusing but I am happy to help with that.

The Disney Treasure features several different themed rooms depending on what floor you are staying on. Here is a guide so you can get an idea of where you would like to stay –

Aladdin Theme – Decks 2, 6, 7, 10 & 13 (Rajah Suite)

Pocahontas Theme – 2, 6, & 7

Encanto Theme – 8 & 9

Up Theme – 8 & 9

Finding Nemo – 10 & 11

Luca – 10 & 11

The Lion King – 12 & 13

Jungle Book – 10 (Bagheera Suite)

Tomorrow Tower Suite is located on floor 13. It is a 2-story 4 bedroom, 5 1/2 bath suite with kitchen, dining room, living room, views of the ocean and decks below, and incredible theming and furnishings.

If you have questions about stateroom details or suggestions, please reach out and I will be happy to assist you with planning your next dream vacation. Planning is complimentary. Each reservation made between today, 12/16/24, and the end of January 2025 will be entered to win a pair of Disney Treasure Inaugural Sailing Loungefly Ears.

The Disney Treasure

I was incredibly blessed with the opportunity to set sail on a pre-inaugural sailing on the Disney treasure. This sailing was hosted by Disney for specially chosen media and Travel agencies and I couldn’t believe that I got to be a part of it. The ship is easily one of my favorites, and I fell in love with all the magic and incredible theming throughout.

From the moment I stepped into the stunning atrium, I was in awe of my surroundings.  Every fixture and furnishing was specifically picked to reflect the incredible decor that will send you on a treasure hunt to remember. This is the first Disney Ship that has a more adventurous feel. Of course, there are princesses abound, but what I loved most was that they focused heavily on adventure. Stories such as Aladdin, Up, Encanto, Peter Pan, Moana, 20,000 leagues under the Sea, Marvel, Lion King, Cocoa, Haunted Mansion, and the Jungle Cruise were the main focus of the magic on this ship. As agents, we are so excited for our clients with little adventure seekers.

Over the next 12 days, I will be sharing a series with you that I’m calling “12 Days of Treasure”. It will focus on the Treasure and its many offerings.
