Traveling for the Holidays

Planning a trip to Disneyland during the Holiday Season is a great way to get into a jolly mood. There are so many Christmas themed events and changes that take place at the park that it is really worth a visit during this time.

Events include-

  • A Christmas Fantasy Parade
  • Believe…..in holiday magic Fireworks
  • It’s a Small World Lighting – the daily lighting of the facade of the ride, a lit up in Christmas Magic
  • It’s a Small World Holiday Overlay – See the Yuletide version of this classic
  • Lights & Decor – See one of the most Iconic theme parks decorated for Christmas
  • Haunted Mansion Holiday Tour – Nightmare before Christmas Overlay (AHHHHmazing!)
  • Holiday Time at the Disneyland Resort – A guided Tour

All of this and more paired with California Adventure as well as the Downtown Disney District provides so much Holiday Happiness to each guest that visits. It is a highly recommended destination during the holidays for sure!

Giving a Disney Destination as a Gift for the Holidays

Wrap up a Disney Dream! If your kids have too much “stuff”, give them the gift of memories that will last a lifetime. There are so many fun ways to do this and you can go crazy with creativity or you can keep it simple. One of my favorite, more simple ways is to wrap up a favorite Disney character stuffed animal with a card in its hands that says “See ya Real Soon” for each family member. Just have anyone getting a gift box all open them at the same time and watch the celebrations begin! You can even tailor the stuffed animal to the type of Disney Destination! Gifting a Disney Cruise? Wrap up Sailor Minnie & Mickey! Gifting Disney World? Wrap up a favorite Princess or a Pirate. Gifting Adventures by Disney? Order a stuffed animal from Epcot through the My Disney Experience Shopping section – have it dressed according to the country you are traveling to.

If you would like Mickey stickers, park maps, or other fun literature to add to their gift box, let me know and I would be happy to send you some.

Tips for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

The Disneyland Edition

© Disney

In just a few days, one of the most anticipated expansions in Disneyland history will open – Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. With all of the excitement and popularity that surrounds Star Wars, this will be a very busy land for many years to come. Disney anticipates this excitement and has prepared for it accordingly with all new ways to queue guests and to make any waits as easy and seamless as possible. Here are a few tips provided by Disney. This will help you prepare and be in the know as you visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland:

  1. Between May 31 and June 23, reservations are required to enter Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Guests attempting to enter the land between these two dates will require valid park admission as well as their reservation to enter. These reservations are no longer available at this time.
  2. Any guest staying at a Disneyland hotel between May 31 and June 23rd will automatically be given a reservation to visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. If you want to visit in this first month and did not get one of the coveted reservations, book a stay in one of the hotels! Once you reserve a room, you will be notified of your Star Wars time to visit along with room confirmation.
  3. There will be no standby lines between May 31 & June 23. If you do not have a reservation, you will not be able to enter the land.
  4. After June 23, no reservations will be required. Instead a virtual queue will be implemented. With this, you will be given a return time and then can enjoy the rest of the land while you wait for your return time. This will be done utilizing the Disneyland App. Once you have entered the park, you can enter the virtual queue. You will receive a “Boarding Group” and the status of your boarding will be updated on the app as well as throughout the park.
  5. The Disneyland Costume Policy will be in effect – guests 13 and under may dress in appropriate costumes of their favorite characters.
  6. Download the Disneyland App! You should have this anyway while visiting but with the opening of this land, it is even more helpful
  7. Download the Play Disney Parks app. There is lots of fun ways to interact with the land while in Batuu. There are interactive activities such as scanning cargo crates and & items to collect things as well as interact with droids and more!
  8. Disney’s Ultimate Goal is to provide a wonderful guest experience. While in line, you will be able to purchase snacks, enjoy the Play Disney Parks App, utilize a new system to return to the line if you have to use the restroom, interact with cast, and more.
  9. There are MANY other wonderful things coming to Disneyland this Summer. It is the perfect time to visit! You can visit Sleeping Beauty’s newly imagined Castle, ride on Jesse’s Critter Carousel, visit Pop-Up Disney! A Mickey Celebration, see the new “Mickey’s Philharmagic”, taste some amazing new treats at Black Tap, and see the return of World of Color. There has never been a better time to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth!

A whole new celebration is coming to Disneyland this Spring!

Our favorite mouse is turning 90 this year. 90!! To celebrate, Disneyland will have a new limited-time exhibit at the Down Disney District. This immersive experience will take you through several rooms all featuring different whimsical themes. The vivid displays will allow guests to be a part of the magic and put themselves into Mickey & Minnie’s world! This experience provides plenty of selfie & photo opportunities.

In this particular room, guests will be able to enter the scene and sit on Minnie’s Bow-Couch or stand under one of the many large Minnie Bows. Imagine the possibilities!

It is a beautiful & imaginative interactive art exhibit that is not to be missed! This will be a separate ticket event and can be found over by the Downtown Disney District Monorail Platform.
